The things people wonder before reaching out.
If yours isn’t here, ask us on your free consult — there’s no question too small.
Fit is the most important thing in therapy, and it’s hard to know from a website. That’s exactly why we begin with a free 15-minute consultation — a low-stakes way to get a feel for the person before you commit. If we’re not the right fit, we’ll gladly help you find someone who is.
Individual sessions are $150–$225, couples sessions $175–$275, and we offer a limited number of sliding-scale spots at $80–$130 by financial need. We’re in-network with several major plans and provide superbills for out-of-network reimbursement. You’ll receive a Good Faith Estimate before care begins, as required by the No Surprises Act.
Most people start with weekly 50-minute sessions and shift to biweekly as things steady. There’s no fixed number of sessions you have to commit to — therapy is collaborative, and we’ll regularly check in about how it’s going. You can pause or stop at any time.
For many concerns, research shows telehealth can be just as effective as in-person care, and many clients prefer the convenience and comfort of meeting from their own space. We use a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. Telehealth is available to anyone physically located in North Carolina at the time of session.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a well-researched, evidence-based therapy that helps the brain reprocess distressing memories so they lose their emotional charge. It’s done slowly and collaboratively — we build safety and stability first, and never move faster than feels manageable for you.
It helps if both partners are willing to try, even if one is unsure. Couples work is most effective when both people are in the room, and we work to make sure each partner feels heard and treated fairly — it’s not about taking sides. If individual work would serve you better, we’ll say so.
Yes. What you share in therapy is confidential and protected by law. There are a few narrow legal exceptions — if there’s a serious risk of harm to yourself or someone else, suspected abuse of a child or vulnerable adult, or a court order. We’ll always be transparent about these limits, and we use HIPAA-compliant systems for telehealth and records.
This site and our contact forms are not monitored for emergencies. If you’re in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) any time, day or night, or call 911 / go to your nearest emergency room.
