What stays between us.
Confidentiality, your privacy, and the few honest exceptions — written plainly.
Confidentiality & HIPAA
What you share in therapy is confidential and protected by law. Confidentiality has a few narrow legal exceptions: a serious and imminent risk of harm to yourself or others; suspected abuse or neglect of a child, elder, or vulnerable adult; and a valid court order. We use HIPAA-compliant systems for telehealth, scheduling, and records.
Crisis & emergencies
This website and its contact forms are not monitored for emergencies and are not a crisis service. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, call or text 988 (the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room. You can also text HOME to 741741.
Disclosures
Stillwater Therapy Collective is a group of independently licensed clinicians in North Carolina (LCSW, LMFT, LPC, and PsyD). License types and numbers shown are illustrative placeholders for this template. Each clinician practices within the scope of their North Carolina license.
Client experiences shared on this site are anonymized, used with permission, and reflect individual experiences. Therapy outcomes vary from person to person; nothing here is a promise or guarantee of any particular result.
The fit-finder offers gentle suggestions for demonstration only. It is not a diagnostic tool, not clinical advice, and not a substitute for speaking with a licensed clinician. A real recommendation follows a consultation.
Good Faith Estimate
Under the No Surprises Act, you have the right to a Good Faith Estimate explaining how much your care will cost. The estimate is not a contract and does not obligate you to receive services. If you are billed for more than $400 over your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Asking for or receiving a Good Faith Estimate will never affect the care you receive. Read more →
Privacy
We collect only the information needed to respond to you and provide care. Sensitive clinical information is handled through a HIPAA-compliant client portal, not email. We don’t sell your information. This template’s contact and booking forms are demonstrations and don’t transmit real data.
Fees
Fees shown are illustrative starting points for this template and vary by clinician, session length, and service. You will receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected costs before care begins, as required by the No Surprises Act. Sliding-scale availability is limited. See fees & insurance →
This page is illustrative template content for Stillwater Therapy Collective, not legal advice. A real practice should publish its own Notice of Privacy Practices and policies, reviewed by counsel.
